Starter or WordPress: Which Website Does Your Dubai Business Need?

Compare the AED 999 static Starter website and AED 2,500 WordPress package: editing, page limits, launch timing, ownership and separate costs.

Choose Starter if your business needs a small, stable website and you are happy to ask the designer for content changes. Choose WordPress if you need to edit your own pages or plan to publish regularly. The decision is about how you will run the website, not simply which package costs less on day one.

At The Web Makers, Starter costs AED 999 for up to five static pages. The standard WordPress website costs AED 2,500 for up to six pages with a CMS and an editing handover. These are our build prices, not average Dubai market prices. Domain name and hosting are separate for both, including initial purchase and renewals.

Choose by how your Dubai business actually works

A company profile that changes occasionally

A consultant, trading company or service business may need only Home, About, Services, Contact and one additional page. If the main job is to explain the offer and let customers enquire, a static Starter site can be enough. Write the key service information well and agree who handles later changes.

See the Starter website scope before deciding.

A website you will update yourself

Choose WordPress when your team needs control over its text and images. Regular service updates, company news or an editorial plan make a CMS useful. A blog, extra page templates, multiple editors or other features still need to be included explicitly in the quote; a CMS does not make every feature part of the base package.

Review our WordPress package and discuss the content workflow.

What if you need products, bookings or payments?

Do not choose a package on page count alone. A product catalogue, checkout, stock management, booking system or external integration changes the scope. For a shop, review our ecommerce website design in Dubai; WooCommerce and Shopify builds start at AED 3,999. The number of products, payment provider, delivery rules and integrations determine the final quote. A third-party subscription or paid plugin may be extra.

Compare the cost of running the website, too

Include your domain, hosting and renewals in the budget. For WordPress, decide who will maintain the core software, themes and plugins. An optional Care Plan is available at AED 299 per month; confirm the platform, editing allowance and support scope before choosing it. Starter has no WordPress installation to update, but hosting, domain renewals and future content edits still need an owner.

You own the website. Ask for the files, relevant account access and the handover included in your quote. If you later move from a static site to WordPress, allow for a separately scoped migration: pages, templates, forms and URLs need to be reviewed. It is not simply a switch that makes the existing site editable.

Use completed work to assess the fit

Foundry & Form is a completed WordPress project for a Dubai B2B communications advisory. Review its service information and editorial structure as an example of the platform in use. Gulf Gear is a Starter project for a UAE equipment rental business. A portfolio example demonstrates the work; it does not mean every feature in that example is included in the base package.

Send the same brief before comparing quotes

Write down the pages, who will edit them, how enquiries should arrive, and any features that are essential at launch. Our Dubai website brief checklist gives you a practical structure. For market context and separate costs, read the Dubai website cost guide.
